The iPod touch is back in 2019.
Apple has updated the iPod touch with a new processor and higher storage while keeping the rest unchanged.

The iPod touch now comes with the A10 Fusion chipset, same as the one found on the iPhone 7. iOS 12 Operating System with 1 GB of ram.
It’s not quite the latest and greatest but it’s a decent step-up from the A8 found on the previous model.
The new chipset enables additional features. You can now make Group FaceTime calls, which can include up to 32 people. It also enables the use of AR features in apps that use Apple’s ARKit framework.

Apart from the chipset, the new model also comes with a 256 GB storage, which joins the previous 128 GB and 32 GB options.

The rest of the product has been left untouched. This means you are still getting the same 4-inch (diagonal) widescreen Retina display with Multi-Touch IPS technology 1136-by-640-pixel resolution at 326 ppi 800:1 contrast ratio with Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating.

Video Recording with 1080p HD video recording (30 fps), Tap to focus while recording, Slow-mo video (120 fps), Time-lapse video, Cinematic video stabilization, 3x zoom, Video geo tagging over Wi-Fi, Video formats recorded: HEVC and H.264.
And 1.2MP camera on the front with ƒ/2.2 aperture, 720p HD video recording, Backside illumination sensor, Auto HDR for videos, Burst mode, Exposure control, Timer mode.
Wireless: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth: 4.1 wireless technology, A single loudspeaker, Lightning Connector, no Face ID or even Touch ID, 3D Touch or haptic feedback. Fortunately it does have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Up to 40 hours Music playback time and 8 hours of Video playback time.

Supported Language: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Slovak, Swedish, Hungarian, Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese, Hong Kong, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Catalan, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Malay, Thai, Turkish and Vietnamese.

The new iPod touch starts at $199 for the 32 GB model, $299 for the 128 GB and $399 for the 256 GB model. It comes in six colours Such as Product Red, Blue, Pink, Silver, Gold, Space Gray.

A short brief of iPod touch 1st generation : The original iPod touch launched in 2007 with 8 GB/16 GB memory, 128 MB dynamic RAM, 480 x 320 pixels 165 ppi 3.5 inches multi-touch display screen, 412 MHz ARM CPU, PowerVR Lite GPU, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Built-in rechargeable 580 mAh Li-Po battery and the 32 GB model was added in Feb 2008. In 2010 finally iPod touch got a camera not just on the front but on the back as well.

Currently Apple has released iPod Touch 7th generation and will available during fall 2019.
